Anna Maria Olech's photographic works, arranged in separate series of portraits, are a very coherent, well-thought-out form of artistic expression. they are characterized by an economical composition, aesthetic and formal minimalism, and bright diffused light that emphasizes the faces or entire silhouettes of the figures shown.

The staticity of the image and the purity of the form are often disturbed by the conscious use of color, the effect of moving or overlapping frames, giving the photograph a specific expression. These aesthetic and stylistic measures determine the location of the portraits, on the one hand, in the trend of traditional studio photography, and on the other hand, they are close to the contemporary tendency to experiment and juxtapose different artistic conventions.

The artist draws from the minimalist style, associated with the trend of Far Eastern aesthetics, while remaining open to the influences of surrealism, pop art and the shiny and colorful glam aesthetics. Stylistically balanced photographs, despite their eclectic character, are not dominated by the conventions used. Rather, they are based on a subtle poetics focused on an individual figure, usually depicted frontally, in half-figure. The photographer is particularly interested in the variety of images of a contemporary woman standing on the border of youth and maturity. This element becomes extremely interesting when we look at the portraits, remembering that they were made by a female artist. This feminine perspective encourages the viewer to find identity and self-reflexive threads in the photographs.

Perhaps Olech's photographs contain some personal, intimate story? Perhaps they are a medium through which she expresses herself as a conscious artist and as a woman? Consistency in the use of means of expression, the metaphors used and the technical efficiency of photography testify to the artist's maturity, sensitivity and the need for artistic exploration, creating sophisticated, elegant, legible and at the same time innovative photographic works.
